National Working Group (NWG) Workshop 2015

The NWG met in late February to participate in some professional development and to undertake validation of tasks we have had submitted. They trawled their way through a mountain of tasks and we hope to have these uploaded to the Assessment Task Bank over the coming weeks.

This year the NWG focussed on the tasks that would address learning outcomes that were otherwise not addressed with any other task on the ATB. We understand that for the ATB to offer teachers the maximum value, it needs to cover all learning outcomes.

NEAS will be on a campaign over the coming months to gather tasks for those learning outcomes that are still without any tasks. Be warned!

Mapping of Tasks

The NWG have raised concerns that the tasks on the Assessment Task Bank and newly submitted tasks are not mapped to the CSWE module that they claim to assess against. We have worked closely with a few members of the NWG to develop a mechanisms and a plan to get all tasks mapped. Your NWG representative will most likely be asking you to participate in helping us to get everything mapped. We hope that this will also be valuable professional development and help teachers as they sit down to write a new task.
