Help Shape the New Heart of ParramattaWe want people to join community workshops to share their ideas for how our new civic building will fit into the way you work, play, learn and connect in Parramatta. Construction has just started on this new $130 million complex, which will be home to your new library, community, cultural and creative spaces plus the Council Chambers. Starting the week commencing 28 September, join us for online workshops and tell us what would bring you to use our new civic, cultural and community building! This is your chance to help us understand what the community want from their new centre and to help shape our activities, events and programming. Please go here to register your interest. Those selected to participate will receive a $50 voucher once they have successfully completed the workshop. Cowells Lane Reserve Temporary FenceCouncil has reviewed the off leash area and feedback received during the March 2020 community consultation and has proposed to install a temporary fence to be trialed for six (6) months. The park will remain predominately as an off-leash area, whilst providing a clearly defined section of Cowells Lane Reserve as an on-leash area around the popular playground and parking area. Our aim is to create a safer environment for all park user groups whilst ensuring that Cowells Lane Reserve remains one of Sydney’s best off-leash dog parks. Have your say here. |
