Welcoming regional Victorians back to Mt Hotham

We are pleased to be able to welcome regional Victorian visitors back to Mt Hotham with the changing of restrictions.

We have prepared an information page on our website (click button below) - please share this with friends and guests who may be considering visiting.

Please note that while resort entry permits are no longer required, the mandatory requirement to carry diamond-pattern chains and fit them if directed is still in place.

We are still expecting snowfalls over the next few weeks, so we appreciate your assistance in sharing this information with your networks.

Proposed new Victorian Waste Act and Authority

Victoria’s waste and recycling system has experienced significant market shocks in recent years, highlighting the vulnerability of this essential service relied on by all Victorians.

To address these issues and to move towards a more circular economy, the Victorian Government released Recycling Victoria: A new economy in February this year.

The policy and action plan set out a sweeping set of reforms which will establish a resilient recycling system and transform how our economy uses materials. The policy can be found here: https://www.vic.gov.au/transforming-recycling-victoria
