Spring into Summer

With the sunshine on its way, Land Rover is launching the world’s first luxury SUV convertible with a starting price of £47,500 for the diesel nine speed automatic transmission including Drive Select with Paddle Shift and Sport Mode.

First launched at the LA Motor Show late last year, the very stylish, and we have no doubt incredibly popular convertible for all seasons will attract a lot of attention and interest.

The Convertible is marginally longer than the hard-top and a touch wider too with extra strengthening round the A-pillars and under-body bracing to keep the car’s structural rigidity. There’s been a bit of a weight gain, too – an extra 277kg in the case of the diesel models.

Like most convertibles the Evoque is a 4-seater but hasn't lost still being a proper 4 x 4.

If individuality is your thing then personalisation options including the ability to have your own name inscribed in the treadplates is available.

If it's something just for two!

It's fast and stylish and we're not just talking about the roof which retracts is a lightening 14 seconds.

At the very heart of the car is, of course, the 3902cc turbo-charged V8 which set a new benchmark for this type of architecture. The 488 Spider sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.7 seconds

With a price tag of around the £200,000 mark the fortunate new owners of this amazing supercar will be hoping to receive it sooner rather than later and enjoy driving their great investment of the future.

London Classic Car Show 2016

The second London Classic Car Show took place in February at the Excel Arena - and what a great show it was too.

This year the floor space and exhibitors doubled after the succesful launch in 2015 and we were delighted to see so many faces return to visit us on the stand and welcomed new car enthusiasts who were amazed at the options available to them for their next refurbishment or purchase.

Stealing the show this year were the duo of Mclaren F1 GTRs. One owned by World Champion F1 design star Adrian Newey and the other the Harrods machine that starred at Le Mans 20 years ago this year.

The GTR was developed from the £540,000 F1 road version of which just 63 road cars built in the early 1990's. Designed by Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens, it was the first production road car to use a complete carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque chassis and features a central driving position with passenger seats slightly behind on each side, with butterfly doors opening up and outwards - history in the making.

Our four days at the show once again proved to be a great success and we have seen the growth of investments in classic vehicles through our bespoke range of finance options increase in the first quarter of this year.
