NSW International Student of the Year ELICOS award to AICE student Ting Ting Chen!

NEAS is happy to share that the NEAS Quality Endorsed college AICE student Ting Ting Chen won the ELICOS award for NSW International Student of the Year!

The outstanding and invaluable contribution to communities made by the State’s international students was recognised at the 2015 NSW International Student Awards at the Sydney Opera House, organised by StudyNSW within the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres officiated at the awards ceremony and congratulated the winners of four International Student of the Year awards.

NEAS congratulates Ting Ting and AICE for their recognition and contribution to this outstanding achievement!

ELICOS Students have Many Talents!

Greek sculptor Takis Panagoitis chose NEAS Endorsed centre AAC at Kogarah as his English language centre during his cultural exchange in Sydney.

In between practising his English and completing his EAP assignments, Takis has been on a lecture circuit and demonstrating his talents as a sculptor to audiences around Sydney including to the students and staff at AAC.

NEAS supports AAC's initiative in bringing kinesthetic learning opportunities into the ELICOS teaching environment!

Who looks after my NEAS Quality Assurance?

NEAS has undergone some major changes in the way it undertakes its Stakeholder Driven Quality Assurance processes in the past two years.  Our use of anonymous surveys and focus groups has redirected the focus towards the ELT centre outputs as opposed to their inputs and our Customer Service protocol has created a new level of professionalism for members.

In a new development, NEAS is launching a co-support structure, which will allow members to develop relationships with their site QA assesor and their QA "desk" reviewer.  NEAS permanent staff will undertake all Quality Assurance functions for Quality Endorsed members and new applicants!  Our QA team includes (in order from left to right) Di Price, Marion Bagot, Margaret Kinvig, Lauren O'Hern and Ana Bratkovic.

New Quality Endorsed ELT centres join NEAS!

Congratulations to Canterbury College in Queensland and to PA Tony Nutt and Academic Manager Briony Banks. The outstanding quality of the visit was the pastoral care system that appeared to be integrated into all aspects of student life.

A bouquet to Cass Training International College on a very positive NEAS Quality Endorsement outcome.  Cass provides a blend of educational activities and opportunities for ELT and Vocational students.

English Academy is part of the Intercontinental Education group and has just been sucessful in being awarded NEAS Quality Endorsement!

Offering a combination of English and Business courses, English Academy is to be commended on being a quality ELICOS centre!
