Received this email from a friend? Train station development moves into Phase Two The development of the new £5.6m Portrush Train Station is progressing well, with phase one now at completion stage. A range of local representatives and key stakeholders recently visited the site to see the progress that has been made and Translink is also working with Graham Construction to facilitate a number of local schools’ visits in the near future. Grahams also led an engagement event in the STEM village during the Air Waves Portrush event in September, which provided visitors with information on the project, alongside a number of activities for children. As phase two gets underway, the development will see the existing boundary wall at Eglinton Street dismantled. During this time, the adjacent on-street parking bays will be temporarily unavailable. It is planned that some of the basalt stone will be repurposed and used within the platform extension work. Replacing the wall, and opening up the new station to the area, will be boundary imagery as voted for by the public during the summer months. This is currently being finalised and will be installed during phase two of the works.
