Patrick Pheasant appointed as NEAS Chief Executive Officer

The Board is pleased to announce that Mr Patrick Pheasant has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of NEAS, following an extensive search and selection process.

Previously Director at the University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching, Patrick brings to the role a wealth of international education experience from Higher Education, VET, High School and ELICOS sectors, both nationally and internationally. Patrick has held senior management positions in education for twenty years and also has extensive experience in change management, online learning and delivery of English Language Training. His recent doctoral research at the University of Sydney is in using process drama in TESOL. Patrick has held positions of Vice-President and Secretary of the University English Centres of Australia (UECA), as well as serving on the NEAS Advisory Council for two years, most recently as Convenor.

The Board would like to acknowledge the excellent work Mark Raven has done in past three years in the role with developing NEAS’ quality assurance process based on stakeholder driven feedback and wish him success with his future endeavours.

The Board is confident that Patrick will continue to grow and innovate NEAS in providing quality assurance to the global International Education sectors and look forward to welcoming him as NEAS Chief Executive Officer at the end of October.
