Why We Are HereAs the Legionary priest who serves in the role of Formation Director of the Boys’ School for Everest Collegiate High School and Academy, I have been blessed to be part of the school’s faculty for the past 10 years. As a person who has responded to a special call from God, I take the responsibility of bringing Christ to others seriously. It is a responsibility that I share with Jill Swallow
who is a Regnum Christi consecrated woman and my counterpart for the Girls’ School.
Our joint responsibility doesn’t just pertain to the students who walk our halls every day. It extends to their family members as well. Through the parent program, retreats, and spiritual direction, we also offer opportunities for parents to grow closer to Christ in an authentically Catholic way.
I am excited to announce a new Catholic resource that is now available to all Everest families. FORMED is a subscription service on a digital platform that allows access to Catholic teaching videos, books and audio talks with one goal in mind: to deepen our relationship with Christ and his Church. All of these materials are available at Formed.org which is conveniently accessible from most smart phones, tablets and computers. Thanks to a generous benefactor these resources are available to Everest families this year at no cost.
FORMED leverages the power of today’s technology with some of the most trusted Catholic apostolates to give access to a wide range of Catholic Church teachings. Available material is presented by speakers such as Scott Hahn, Edward Sri, Tim Gray, and Fr. Robert Barron. There are also programs for teens and parents (YDisciple), explaining the Catholic Faith (Symbolon), understanding Scripture and Tradition (Lectio), and God’s design for the Sacrament of Marriage (Beloved).
To gain access to this digital platform, you must first login to the Everest internal parent website and can do so by clicking here. Once you have logged on to your home page, the Everest Parent access code is listed under the Important Announcements section in a paragraph titled: FORMED.org.
