Tips to get the most out of your online campaign... Utilizing Your Online CampaignTips to get the most out of your online campaign... ________There are many layers to hosting an online campaign. From sharing your link on social media, to sending email blasts to your donors to update them, thank them, or invite them to future events. Below you will find some tips and tools to help you host a successful online campaign. Give Yourself a Gift! You can make contributions to your own campaign. This will inspire others to participate & show them that you are dedicated. You can also make recurring contributions to keep your campaign active and keep your fundraising thermometer moving towards your goal! Share Constantly!Client Services has created a special link for your campaign, they can also make you a QR code. These can be applied to business cards & campaign flyers to be passed out at events & shared with local businesses. Share your personal link constantly on your fan page & all of your social media pages along with videos from our video library, updates on your journey, & your daily grind (maybe share a story about how a Service Dog could have made an impact on a particular day this week). Shout it out on YouTube, share on Facebook, tweet it, and put it in the bio of your Instagram page! If you need help from Client Services to create a flyer or something to share on social media, we are here and happy to help! Tell your donors about matching gifts and recurring donations! When you or one of your donors makes a contribution to the campaign, it may be eligible for a matching gift. Some employers match gifts given to non-profits, this could double, or even triple the impact that this gift will make. Have your donors ask their employers about matching gifts. Some donors may work for a smaller business. In these cases, some smaller businesses will be willing to support you in your fundraising efforts by helping you with an event, donating goods & services, making a monetary contribution, hanging flyers in their windows, and/or allowing you to leave a donation jar in their building (make sure your campaign link is on the jar for those who wish to read your story or donate online.) Remind your donors that they can pledge a recurring contribution. Someone may wish to give $1,000 to your campaign, but they don't have the money to do so. They can make their initial gift & continue supporting you automatically by selecting the option of making a monthly contribution. The example below shows someone who would like to give $1,000, so they chose to give $100 per month for 10 months. (If you had 25 donors do this your campaign would be met!) Send out email blasts through your campaign.Did you know that you can send email blasts through your online campaign? You can import your email contacts to send announcements, updates and event invitations, and you can thank your donors for their participation. The option to message is found in the icons at the top left of your page. After you select the email options and import your contacts, you can then write a message to your contacts. Sending email blasts through your campaign will automatically share your link with the recipient. Send your campaign flyers and ask your supporters to share them with family and friends. This will spread more awareness for your campaign. Do not use 3rd party sites to collect donations. Keep your story and photos up-to-date. Have fun with your campaign. Let people see your excitement and share it as often as you can! Ask friends and family to share your campaign link on their social media as well! Log your offline donations! Every time you send a check, money order, or cashiers check they need to be logged as a pledge. Doing so prevents donations from slipping through the cracks and lets us know what to keep an eye out for in the mail. This step is imperative for reconciliation.
