New Career Guidance Programs to steer university selection and career conversations
This time of year is a very important one for year 12 students. University applications are due in less than six weeks and students are trying to figure out what they want to study and where, or whether university is even the right path for them.
With research showing over 30% of university students fail to complete their degree within six years, it is important they make the right course selections. Otherwise, they’ll be left with nothing to show for their time at university - other than a HECS debt.
As a parent, you play an important role in these conversations. According to CICA, 75% of students believe their parents are the biggest influence on their career choices. Are you offering the best advice based on the new world of work?
