Team Manager Information Session - Monday 15 February, 7pm – ZoomA recording of the Team Manager Information Session is now available to be watched online. A copy of the presentation can also be downloaded from our website. Online Team Manager briefings will be held prior to each championship. The SLSNSW surf sports team will email further details to the Team Managers shortly. Service NSW App - Checking InHelp us stay COVID Safe by checking in at the State Championships using the Service NSW App. QR codes will be available at all entry points throughout the Championships and everyone attending will be required to check in each day prior to arriving at pre-screening. SLSA eLearning provider etrainu has created a free COVID-19: What It Is, How to Prevent Spread online learning awareness course. It is also available on the SLS Members Area eLearning platform. Duration 5-7 minutes. SLSNSW encourages all event attendees, particularly Officials and COVID Marshals, to complete this course. Spectator TicketingIt is essential that the State Championships this year comply with the NSW Public Health Order, as such, each event bio-zone must remain under 3,000 total people. This includes competitors, officials, spectators, water safety, work party etc. In order to meet this requirement the following event bio-zones will be ticketed to all spectators:
SLSNSW will be allocating 1 ticket per competitor and a further 50% of the total number of competitors within the bio-zone e.g. 100 competitors, the club will receive 100 spectator tickets with a further 50 tickets allocated for coaches, team managers and however the club wishes to delegate within the event bio-zone ‘mixing’ regulation. Spectator tickets will be mailed to each club this week to the attention of the President. It is essential that all spectators wishing to enter the event presents a ticket for each day of competition for the bio-zone they wish to attend. No ticket = no entry, so please do not forget to bring your bio-zone event ticket each day. Powercraft / Water SafetyIRBs: For clubs that are required to bring an IRB, please have them dropped off for compliance checks with a completed compliance checklist on Wednesday 24 February between 1-4pm in the Northern Compound at Swansea Belmont SLSC. NB: Yamaha 25XMHS NOT ACCEPTED, product has ceased. RWCs: SLSNSW is still seeking RWC operators for this years State Championships. If you are able to cover any of the available shifts (highlighted red in the below roster) please contact Alistair Notley, anotley@surflifesaving.com.au OfficialsSLSNSW is still calling for Officials for this years State Championships. Nomination forms can be found on the event webpage. In particular, we are seeking officials for the Masters and Lifesaving weekend, Powercraft coordinators, duty boat drivers and IRB mechanics. RegistersTeam Manager Register: All clubs need to nominate a Team Manager for each bio-zone and each Championship event. Team COVID Marshal Register: Each club is required to nominate a Team COVID Marshal for each bio-zone and Championship event. A position description for this role will be available on the event page shortly. Cross Bio-Zone Register: For any official, age manager, coach or any other role that requires members to attend another bio-zone during the Championships, they must complete the below register prior to attending the event. NB: no person is permitted to cross any of the four Age Championships bio-zones across the 4 days, however when the events are a week apart, it is permitted when the cross bio-zone register is completed. Please ensure you regularly visit the State Championships event page on the SLSNSW website and familiarize yourself with the updated information. A reminder that if you are feeling unwell or have been to a known hot spot, please do not attend this event. 2021/21 Nutri-Grain IronMan and IronWoman SeriesOur elite NSW Iron athletes put on quite a performance at Kingscliff Beach over the weekend for Rounds 1-3 of the 2020/21 Nutri-Grain IronMan and IronWoman Series. There were also some impressive results in the inaugural Nutri-Grain Next-Gen event with our NSW Young Guns leading the pack. The remaining three rounds of the Nutri-Grain IronMan and IronWoman Series will take place across 26-28 February with round four (26 Feb) LIVE on 9GO! from 12pm-2pm nationally and rounds five and six LIVE on Channel 9 from 12pm-2pm nationally. Entries for the 2021 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships are now open. Early Bird Entries will close on 28 February, before Normal Entries close on 29 March.
