Dear member,
Happy 1st Anniversary to the Biweekly Digest! I cannot believe that it has been one year since we launched our newsletter to bring to you the upcoming news and stories about the health and life sciences ecosystem in Edmonton and beyond. Take a look at the first edition of the Digest to remember how it all started. This is also your opportunity to fill out our feedback form and tell us how useful you have found the Digest over this last year. If there is anything you would like to see differently or if you simply want to give us your good wishes, please let us know. We love to hear from you and the Digest is grateful to you for shaping it for our health and life sciences community.

If you missed our latest In Conversation with Josh, Chief Operating Officer of Goodlawyer, you can find the recording for the event here. He had some expert advice and suggestions for startups and SMEs in different stages of commercialization. As Martin, CEO of Click&Push Accessibility and this edition’s Meet Our Community member says, “expert advice, mentorship, increased visibility” are his motivations to join our community.
Before I wrap up, I would like to thank you for being such an active supporter of the work we do. The flu season is here, and we had to cancel our scheduled Health Innovators’ Meetup in November due to sickness. Continues to be risk averse, and under-invests in early-stage innovation. Raises too many barriers to entry, such as unrealistic cash match requirements for programs.
