Surf Life Saving Joins Flood Relief Efforts
This week our lifesavers and lifeguards along with Surf Life Saving assets including IRBs, UAVs and jetskis have been assisting with flood relief and rescue activities throughout the state.

Submissions to the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission
A reminder to Clubs and Branches to ensure that they are up to date with their submissions to the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC). This can be checked on the ACNC website. Development officers will be contacting clubs and branches that have overdue submissions to assist in the completion of this process over the next few weeks.
Closing Soon - Nominations for SLSNSW Director Positions
SLSNSW is calling for nominations for Deputy President (Specified Director) and Director Position (Unspecified Director) for a three-year term. Candidates interested in nominating must complete and sign the nomination form and lodge it with their Branch by COB Wednesday, 31 March 2021, which is then due to be submitted to Steven Pearce, SLSNSW CEO, by COB Friday, 2 April 2021.
Nominations for SLSNSW Awards of Excellence Panels
SLSNSW is calling for nominations for the Awards of Excellence Panels (two-year term). Members interested in nominating should send a signed nomination form along with a typed copy of your resume (1-page maximum), which details your credentials and relevant experience for the position/s to Steven Pearce, SLSNSW CEO, by noon Monday, 12 April 2021.

2020/21 NSW Interbranch Championship - Cancelled, 24 March 2021
SLSNSW regretfully has made a decision to cancel the 2020/21 Interbranch Championship scheduled to be held at Shelly Beach (Central Coast) this coming weekend.

ClubsNSW Clubs & Community Awards - Message from ClubsNSW Chairman Dr George Peponis OAM
We are thrilled to have the Clubs & Community Awards back again this year to recognise the role that NSW clubs play in supporting local sporting teams, businesses and charities.
It was incredible to see how many award nominations we received from surf clubs across the state, which demonstrates the unique and valuable relationship between registered clubs and surf clubs.
I look forward to the winners being announced at the Clubs & Community Awards Night at the Sydney International Convention Centre in May - ClubsNSW Chairman, Dr. George Peponis OAM.
Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

Lifeguard Operations Manager
The Lifeguard Operations Manager is responsible for the operational oversight and management of paid Lifeguarding operations across NSW. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Public Safety you will support the ALS in ensuring efficient operational objectives are met in line with the SLSS Strategic and ALS Business Plans.
People and Culture Manager
Reporting to the COO, this role is responsible for all generalist HR activities including recruitment, learning and development, performance management and remuneration (including recommendations and award reviews). This role provides expertise, advice, and develops initiatives to enhance employee engagement and performance levels.
Education Content Creator
SLSNSW is seeking expressions of interest for secondary school teachers to create a three week curriculum aligned unit outline for Stage 6 PDHPE for use by schools. The content is to be aligned with SLSNSW beach and ocean safety messages focusing on PDHPE syllabus.
