    Christmas 2018

Seasons Greetings

In our final newsletter of the year we're looking back on everything the year has brought...and are already beginning to peek over the horizon into 2019. Never has there been a better reason to stop what you're doing, grab a comfy seat and a mince pie, and share a few festive moments with HopScotch.

A Christmas Message

It's been another great year for HopScotch and as we look back on 2018 there's a lot to celebrate. We're proud to have enabled 326 young people to experience a HopScotch break in 2018. As always huge thanks go to our wonderful supporters, dedicated staff and committee for making it all possible.

This year we were delighted to welcome Angus back as our Project Worker, ensuring those 326 children had a brilliant respite break experience. Thanks to Angus, lots of wonderful childhood memories have been formed this year.

We are looking forward to 2019 already, with planning for next year's programme already well underway. We will also be celebrating our 20th year as a charity, and are busy with celebration planning to mark this event. We're excited about sharing those plans with you in the new year, so watch this space.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Festive Fundraising News

We've had some wonderful funding news lately, which has definitely put us in the Christmas mood at HopScotch! Thank you so much to the Robertson Trust, who have awarded us £15,500 per year for the next 3 years, which contributes to the cost of our project worker's salary and programme running costs. Thank you also to the Crerar Trust who have funded us £5000 towards our transportation costs for the 2019 programme.

Retties & Co recently held their staff Christmas event and ran a very successful charity raffle which we were honoured to be the beneficiaries of. Raffle ticket sales on the night were match-funded by Retties themselves, and generated an incredible £4080 in total! Thank you to everyone who made this possible, we are so grateful. This will contribute significantly to supporting many children to come on a HopScotch break in 2019.

Barratt Homes East Scotland continue to generously support our work, and this Christmas time they have collected a wonderful selection of toys for us to distribute to HopScotch children. Again, thank you so much to all who have made this possible. We know the children will be thrilled to receive these gifts when they visit us.

We'd also like to say a big and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the work of HopScotch this year - it's enabled us to keep doing what we do and has put smiles of the faces of children from all over Scotland this year too.

And Finally...Happy Christmas!

Thank you so much to all our supporters, to everyone who came to Ardvullin this year and to everyone who has joined us in promoting the work HopScotch does. We wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a peaceful and very happy 2019.
