Coronavirus Updates

A number of significant updates have been made to the SLSNSW Coronavirus webpage (28 June 2021) including updated Information Packs and Safety Plan templates. Please ensure you regularly review this page, along with the NSW Health website to stay up-to-date with the latest information and restrictions.

2021 SLSNSW State Conference - Event Update

Following the SLSNSW Board Meeting last night, the decision has been made to postpone the SLSNSW State Conference 2021, scheduled to be held at the Novotel Brighton le Sands on 24-25 July, due to the COVID-19 situation in NSW.

2021 Sharkskin NSW IRB Season - Event Update

Due to the COVID-19 situation in NSW and the current Sydney 'Stay at Home' order, the Organising Committee have made the decision to postpone Round 4 of the 2021 Sharkskin NSW Premiership and subsequently the 2021 Sharkskin NSW IRB Championships. Proposed dates are available on the event webpage.

2021 Pool Rescue Championships - Event Update

Due to the COVID-19 situation in NSW and the current Sydney 'Stay at Home' order, the NSW Pool Rescue Championships is proposed to be rescheduled to 23-25 July. This is subject to venue availability and the Health Order allowing the conduct of the event.

The 24 Hour Row supporting Gotcha4Life now has 35 clubs registered Australia-wide. Participants will row for 24 hours between midday Saturday 14 - Sunday 15 August. There's still time to register your club and donate to help bring the suicide rate to zero.

Grants & Fundraising

Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

Australian Lifeguard Service NSW - Recruitment Now Open!

With over 330 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:

  • Lifeguard Supervisors
  • Seasonal Staff
  • Casual Staff.

Returning 2020/21 lifeguards must reapply online with their user number and password. To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the Become a Lifeguard page of the Australian Lifeguard Service NSW website.
