MORNING SWIM LESSONS

Don't Miss Our Scholarship Event to Get Pre-Approved!

(Hurry, all spots are first-come, first-serve!)

Dear Valued Customer,

Our next set of swim lessons will be beginning on Monday, July 5! The new session of lessons will be run in the same manner that lessons were offered Pre-Covid-19. The only major rule is we request that unvaccinated patrons wear their masks outside the water.

Please do not wait until the last second and read this entire email before registering. If you are unsure about something, or need additional questions, staff is here to help. See Lauryne's contact information at the bottom of the email.

All registrations will be by phone or in-person. There will be no online registration.

MORNING LESSONS (Monday–Thursday, 9–11am ):

Session 1: July 5–15:
- Current Student Registration opens June 29, 4pm
- New Student Registration opens June 29, 4pm
Session 2: July 19–29:
- Current Student Registration opens July 13, 4pm
- New Student Registration opens July 15, 4pm
Session 3: August 2–12:
- Current Student Registration opens July 27, 4pm
- New Student Registration opens July 29, 4pm

New and Transferring Swimmers

NEW SWIMMER: Students that have not taken a swimming class or want to signup for the classes before can sign up for the first-level of swim lessons without having to take a swim test.

Parent/Tot Swim (6 months to 3 years)
Preschool Level 1 (4-6 years)
Level 1 (7-14 years)
Adult Lessons (15+ years)

TRANSFER SWIMMER: Swimmers transferring from another swim program are required to have a swim test before participating. See available times for testing. Testing will start the week of June 21, 2021.

Before July 1: Please attend an Open Swim (Tuesday & Thursday, 1:00-3:00pm) & Saturdays (11:00am-1:00pm).
July 1 and After: Please attend a Family or Open Swim. Please notify desk when you arrive.

WHY SWIM TESTS?

Our goal is to give participants the best experience in our swim lessons! The most important part is ensuring participants are in the right level. This not only helps the individual, but also ensures other participants get the most of their lesson time.

Class Structure and Occupancy (Updated)

Each class will have a max of 5 students,
Parents no longer need to be in the pool for most all classes (except parent and child),

Summer Scholarship Pre-Approval Event

Tuesday, June 22, 1:00-6:00pm

This event allows families to come out and get pre-approved on the same day for scholarships! Please fill out all paper-work and have documentation prepared. See Scholarship below for process and paperwork information.

Showering and Locker Rooms

Now through June 30:

All students/parents entering water must arrive already showered and changed into swimsuits.
All swimmers must leave without showering, exiting through the locker rooms without changing preferred.

Effective July 1, 2020:

Locker room and showering will be available to all paid users.

Scholarships

Scholarships of up to 90% are also now available and are available to non-residents. In 2021, the District has allocated over $18,000 in scholarships. Also, scholarships now include non-residents of Des Moines and foster children. For more information click link below.

Next Email Notification

Stay tuned for our next schedule update! The governor's office has indicated that there will be a major change in Covid-19 restrictions. We will be making an update as soon as we get formal direction from the State of Washington Department of Health. We hope to put out an update soon!
