Make your donation count - donate before 30 June No images? Click here Dear friend A lymphoma diagnosis turns a families world upside down. Many have never even heard of lymphoma prior to being told 'you have cancer'. This is when our support is needed the most. But we need you too. With your support, we can make sure a Lymphoma Care Nurse is there to help from the time of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. For the patient and also for family and loved ones. Lymphoma is a complex cancer, with more than 80+ subtypes. Our mission is to provide more Lymphoma Care Nurses across Australia to make sure no one faces Lymphoma alone. Our Lymphoma Care Nurses are already having a huge impact on our patients who are working through a lymphoma diagnosis, but there’s many more who need help. Statistics are increasing, with close to 7,000 new lymphoma and CLL diagnoses each year in Australia. Please donate today to help to ensure that everyone, no matter their location, has access to a lymphoma care nurse and is not in this alone. How your donation helps...Please donate before 30 June. We need your help to have more nurses answering the support line to ease their stressors, answer questions and be a listening ear. If you donate before June 30, you may be able to claim a tax deduction this financial year whilst supporting the important work of Lymphoma Australia. Many thanks for your ongoing support. With appreciation, "A trip to the GP turned quickly into scans and specialist doctors and a biopsy and the news that I was carrying around a B Cell Follicular Lymphoma. It was in one, maybe two lymph nodes next to my aorta." "The emotional and psychological implications of this condition are difficult to understand without personal experience. Now, 2.5 years later and in remission, I’m still processing a lot. I suspect these aspects will be with me as life-long challenges." |
