A London Guardian LIFE SKILLS IN ACTION
Alexandra Ridgway, Role Models Intern LOU'S TOP TIPS Resilience at Home: Resist the urge to protect your child from failure or challenge; let them struggle and develop their ability to deal with difficult situations and the feeling of ‘failing’. Leadership at Home: Encourage your child to try and see things from someone else’s perspective. Discuss how others might be feeling and encourage them to consider why others might behave or react in a certain way. Model this process yourself to help them see empathetic responses in action. Louise Treherne; Head of Character Education, Qualified Coach and ex Senior Deputy Head of a London Prep school Thanks to you, we are helping thousands of children worldwide become more confident individuals. |
