When she got after me about this one, I dragged my feet again, feeling like I didn’t really know what to write. But then I felt pretty foolish about that, too; how could I have nothing to say when I’m so busy all the time? I don’t know what it is I do all day, but whatever it is, I sure do an awful lot of it. Then the realization dawned on me: that’s true all over the Department. There are so many of you who do so much that isn’t very visible, but is absolutely essential to teaching, to research, to making this place work. Without that we would not be able to train the next generation of Alberta’s family physicians. We would not be able to provide the admirable role models for students that we do. We would not be able to light the way toward better primary care in the future. Our Department’s contributions far exceed our size, and it’s your diligence in doing what needs to be done even when it doesn’t show that makes it happen. What an awesome place to work! - Dr. Lee Green, Chair, Department of Family Medicine Congratulations
