TNE Snow Briefing & Walk High Country Forum cancelledThe Tourism North East Snow Briefing and Walk High Country Forum that was due to take place at Mt Hotham on 24th September has been cancelled. The Walk High Country Forum will be rescheduled for later in the year. It aims to raise brand and product awareness of the hiking, bushwalking and village strolling offerings available in the High Country’s resorts, parks, village and town destinations. It can be described as a ‘market penetration’ strategy looking to capitalise on existing latent demand for walking offerings through promotion awareness. This is part of Tourism North East's 'Skill Up For Free' series. Fire Safety Reminder from CFAWhat a bumper season we have had so far for snow fall in the village, I just wanted to give a quick a reminder to all stakeholders, lodge managers, accommodation owners and food outlets in the resort to be aware of snow blocking emergency exits and other access and egress points. It is important to make sure we keep these clear of snow for the safety of our guests and staff, although this can be hard work to do at times it is paramount we keep these cleared after snow falls. It allows a safe escape route for people to leave the building, it also allows a safe passage for CFA and other emergency responders to gain access to the building during an emergency event. It is also important to try and keep hydrants and hydrant boosters clear if they are near or at your premise, without these being clear the CFA don’t have any access to water for a potential fire. For any question please don’t hesitate to contact Operations Officer Lyndon Bradley on 0458 305 576. |
