Office of the Registrar General update

Dear colleagues,

We hope you are well and staying safe during the current COVID-19 outbreak in NSW. Please continue to use online channels to make enquiries, submit and lodge documents during this time. The NSW Land Registry Services (LRS) Lodgment Office remains open by appointment only, for limited reasons.

This month Ministers and ACCC Chair met to review progress with a competitive market structure for eConveyancing. ARNECC is working with industry to have the regulatory and technical regime in place to support the first interoperable transaction by end of this year, or the first quarter of 2022. You can read the statement here:

A critical part of maintaining the integrity of NSW's land title system is subscribers complying with the NSW Participation Rules. This will also help protect your business and offer security for your clients. If you are found to be non-compliant, your access to an Electronic Lodgment Network Operator (ELNO) can be suspended or terminated. Non-compliance includes not responding to any Compliance Examination notice issued by NSW LRS. You can find more information here:

As always, please continue to contact us if you have any issues or questions: www.registrargeneral.nsw.gov.au/contact-us

Kind regards
Jeremy Cox
NSW Registrar General

You might be wondering why we are spelling out links now? It’s because latest best practice advice in the fight against phishers and scammers involves presenting full URLs—instead of hyperlinks, when directing people to information, documents or other links. It might take a little longer to read, but hopefully you can see the links we send are safe to open.
