Integrated Management Experience (IME) IME allows you to apply your theoretical knowledge as you study. You will have the opportunity to work on a live project involving a non-profit business in Lethbridge, providing a more comprehensive understanding of business processes and managing business problems and opportunities. The IME program exposes students to the most current management industry practices via guest speakers, case work, and management theory and practical business application. For this Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semester, in partnership with Special Olympics Alberta, the U of L’s Faculty of Management's IME Class worked to support the Special Olympics in Lethbridge. IME students planned and hosted a fundraiser for the Special Olympics with all proceeds going to the organization. The fundraiser was a fun carnival-style event held this past Saturday that provided local families with an opportunity to support Special Olympics Lethbridge. The Family Fun Fair raised over $5000.00, and created awareness about all the work that Special Olympics Lethbridge does in the community. To read more about it, visit the Lethbridge Herald here. Other past projects include working with the YWCA- Harbour House, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the YMCA. Next year's IME Class will be working with Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association.
