It's almost Valentine's Day - a day of chocolate and people making you feel like you need to buy chocolate (when, really, every day should be a day for chocolate). Also a day when pairing up is embraced as positive, so much so that there has been a little division in how best to celebrate. We at Looney Labs want to propose something new and different. Make Valentine's Day all about two things: getting together with multiple friends and playing games with them. Numbers and fun. And, guess what? That's what Math Fluxx is all about!

Math Fluxx will be added to stores on March 9, and is the most numerical version of Fluxx ever. The Keepers are all numbers and the Goals are all number-based. Add to that some mega-math Meta Rules and you'll actually have to do addition, multiplication, or a combination of elementary operations to match the Goal. With Math Fluxx, the fun is exponential!

Preorder Math Fluxx today at your local game store! Click here to print a page of four fun flyers featuring Math Fluxx and your local game store. Give one to your intended Valentine's Day giftee to show you've preordered a copy of Math Fluxx just for them. And then give the other three to friends (or to the store you preordered it from) to help other math lovers discover and preorder their own copies of Math Fluxx!

All Looney Labs games are chock full of fun, but did you know they are actually educational, too? Our Fluxx games encourage critical thinking, text analysis, and reading comprehension, and the foreign language versions are excellent to help learn another language or with ELL students. Chrononauts and Early American Chrononauts cover key events in US History and encourage deep cause-and-effect thinking. Mad Libs®: The Game enhances language studies, emphasizing parts of speech and vocabulary building. And don't even get us started on all the education things you can do with Pyramid Arcade!

This means Looney Labs' games are just perfect for integrating into classrooms - not just for play, but to help teach and support curriculum. From history to geometry to language studies to creative writing, our games have everything to make learning fun!

Q: What made you decide to publish Math Fluxx?

A: It’s what our fans told us they wanted! I have a huge pile of unpublished Fluxx decks in my bag o’ prototypes, and I think they’re all pretty cool, so it’s always difficult to decide which one to actually move into production next. Of course, many of those unpublished designs are for licensed themes which we can’t publish without contracts and royalties and such… but even with all of those taken off the table, it’s been a difficult choice. So at LooneyCon this past summer, we let everyone see and try out all of my prototypes, and when we asked which one we should make, Math Fluxx was the clear winner! Chemistry was also surprisingly popular, so we’re making that one next!
