Health Authority Engagement Survey

Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to encourage all specialist and family physicians who work in the hospital or in the community, in a rural or an urban setting, to participate in the Doctors of BC 2017 Health Authority Engagement survey, currently underway.  The survey seeks your input regarding your engagement and interaction with the Health Authority in which you work. Your feedback will help Doctors of BC shape programs and policies to support you in your work with your Health Authority.

You would have received an email on April 1st or 2nd from Accreditation Canada, the organization conducting the survey on behalf of Doctors of BC, inviting you to participate. Completing the survey should take no more than 10 minutes of your time, is completely anonymous and confidential, and contains the same questions as last year’s Doctors of BC Member Survey in order to track progress. Upon completing the survey you will have the chance to enter to win one of two Microsoft Surface Pros, should you wish.

If you did not receive the email survey from Accreditation Canada, please contact Accreditation Canada at support@accreditation.ca or 1-866-333-3346. The deadline to submit your completed survey is midnight, April 23rd, 2017.

Sincerely,
Susan Papadionissiou

Workshop for Maternity Care Providers

Save the Dates!  May 26-27, 2017

Collaborative Practice Workshop for Maternity Care Providers
Perinatal Services BC and Shared Care are hosting an Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Development Workshop for Primary Maternity Care Providers on May 26-27, 2017 in Vancouver.

This one-and-a-half day workshop will provide an interactive setting for shared dialogue and learning about interprofessional collaborative primary maternity care in BC. If you are looking to establish an interprofessional collaborative practice in your community or to develop your collaborative knowledge and skills, this workshop will be an excellent opportunity to:
• gather information, tools, and resources;
• be part of cultivating a provincial community of practice; and
• network with colleagues from around the province.

Seating will be limited for this event. Email pmc.ipc@phsa.ca for more information.

Forward House Spring Fling

Forward House is planning a “Spring Fling” dinner and dance at the Errington Hall on Saturday, April 22nd. Eddie & the Funk will be playing music from the 50’s to the 90’s. We are not planning to have any draws or auctions, so the evening will focus on visiting, eating, dancing, and laughing!

Tickets cost $35 and are available at Forward House. All proceeds go toward Forward House recreation programs for clients living with mental health/addiction challenges.
