Greetings from the Dean's Office!
October is National Arts & Humanities Month, so what better time to read about exciting happenings in Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences! Last month, Engaging the World: Leading the Conversation on Environmental Justice hosted an amazing lecture by Dr. Robert Bullard, the father of environmental justice, and the series continues this month with events focused on agent orange, global warming, and Flint, Michigan. Our art alumni have graciously agreed to share their career stories with our current students
in our Art Alumni Series (see below). Finally, as you prepare for Halloween, read about Wilkinson College Undergraduate Research Fellows’ findings from their participation in the 2020-2021 Study of American Fears. If you would like to share a story for an upcoming newsletter,
please contact wilkinsoncollege@chapman.edu. Pictured Above: Karen Hampton's piece, "Prayers for Flint," is featured in the Escalette Permanent Art Collection's virtual exhibition. To read more about the piece, click here.
Quest for Environmental & Climate Justice Dr. Robert Bullard, known as the “father of environmental justice,” joined
