NEERO 2021 Virtual Conference: Updates

NEERO 2021 Updates

We are 8 days away from the NEERO 2021 Virtual Conference, filled with presentations of innovative and thought-provoking educational research and opportunities to connect!

1) Tips and Resources for Presenters and Discussants

The NEERO Board has compiled tips and resources for a successful conference, including:

  • NEERO 2021 Guidelines for Presenters and Discussants
  • Video of April 2 Hopin Orientation
  • Hopin Virtual Platform Notes
  • Five Tips for Inclusive Presentations

2) Hopin Updates

Thank you to presenters, discussants, and attendees who have attended the "Hop in to Hopin" orientation sessions on April 2 and 16.

Based on feedback from these sessions NEERO will include open, practice sessions available throughout the entirety of the conference.

Please note, the NEERO 2021 Hopin Virtual platform is supported using Google Chrome and Firefox browsers. Please access the conference using a computer (laptop or desktop), and make sure that you have a stable internet connection (hard-wired, recommended).

If you are a presenter or discussant, please ensure you have given yourself a practice opportunity before your session(s). Just as in an in-person conference, have a plan if you are unable to share your visuals/slides on the screen.

We recognize that many attendees and presenters are anxious about successfully navigating the virtual platform and may have also experienced technical challenges. We are working with Hopin to address these challenges. We want to you to rest assured that we have technology Plan B on standby. We will update you as more information is available.

Please reach out to the NEERO Board if you have questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and willingness to disseminate your research at the NEERO 2021 Virtual Conference. We know that together, we will make this conference a success!
