Program Launched for the NEAS 2015 Management Conference

This year’s conference will feature four streams, with topics covering International, Strategic Management, Research and Innovative Practice.

An impressive array of speakers will follow the conference launch, delivered by Senator the Hon. Simon Birmingham; who has recently been appointed as the Assistant Minister for Education and Training responsible for ASQA.

We are also honoured to present Christine Bundesen AM, who will share her insights and experiences through her Valedictory Speech, to coincide with NEAS 25 years anniversary of Quality Assurance.  Ms. Bundesen was responsible for authoring the NEAS Quality Standards in 1989.   Since then, NEAS has been widely acknowledged as maintaining quality benchmarks that go beyond the government standards.   Ms Bundesen continues to provide her time and expertise to the sector, and sits as Convenor on the NEAS Advisory Council.

NEAS continues to connect with our most important stakeholders – our students.  This year Ms. Tara Fatehi, a PhD Candidate in the School of Medicine at Flinders University, will close the NEAS Conference.  Tara Fatehi is passionate about improving English literacy around the world and is the Australian ambassador for youth-led charities such as Vision Library, which aims to create the largest English library in South Kurdistan and Iraq.

A conference highlight will be evening cocktails at harbour-side, followed by the NEAS Conference dinner with featured comedian Tommy Dean.

Tommy Dean often appears on “Spicks and Specks” and ABC702’s “Thank God it’s Friday”
