Massive Open On-line Course on Antimicrobial Stewardship
The University of Dundee, working in partnership with the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) is set to offer its first Massive Open Online Course – MOOC – after signing an agreement with the FutureLearn platform.
Massive Open On-line Courses (MOOCs) are web-based, free-access learning courses that offer university standard courses. Dundee and BSAC’s first course on antimicrobial stewardship will offer the first truly global education programme for healthcare professionals. NICHE is an electronic poster campaign with its acronym invited prescribers to consider the following - Need (for antibiotic), Investigation (cultures for prescribing), Choice (spectrum of antibiotic), How Long (is your prescription for), Evaluate (your patient and prescription).
