Logan scores with sporting events

Events in the City of Logan make an important contribution to the overall economy, attributing approximately 160,000 visitors to the city in 2017.

A recent events economic assessment provided to Logan City Council highlighted the $24million direct contribution to the regional economy in 2017, through participants and spectators to various sporting, cultural and business events.

The Regional Skills Adjustment Strategy is a $10 million two-year initiative aimed at providing training and assistance to staff and employers in select industries.

New 3.5 to 5 star hotel developments and serviced apartments may be eligible for discounts to encourage investment and job creation in the City of Logan.
