New Stars Shine at Night
The balls will be whacked a bit harder next season.  EMTC has recruited not one, but two new teams in the highest night tennis grades.   Our coaches team will consist of club champs finalists Simon Willox and Tom Paterson along with Youri Yoksimovitch, Simon Thomas and Callum Ashley.  They hope to be graded Section 1.  From Ardrie Park come the Phat Boys who already play Section 1 out of 17 sections in Blackburn District TA.  The team are mates of Wes Hoskins and includes tennis coach Paul Hamilton, former Richmond FC full forward Jeff Hogg, Claudio Gattini, and Stephen Gay.
We already have a ladies team in Section 1 which is expanding.  At the more modest levels we add  a new mixed doubles team, a new ladies team, and more men's single doubles.  Welcome new members and welcome new teams.

We have vacancies in Night Comp teams as follows:
Half a ladies team in Sec 1 or 2 of Monday Blackburn (although it could be Waverley)
Tuesday Mens S/D A Res2 - we have 2 or 3 but would like 1 or 2 more to get 4 regulars in a 3 man team.
Monday higher grade Waverley mens doubles.  We have 3, need 4, ideally 5. 
Tuesday Number 1 or 2 player in B Special singles/doubles mens/open team. Fit in one of 2 teams, 45 yo professionals or 23-30 yo.
Also low/medium doubles on Tuesday and Wednesday. or singles/doubles B grade on Tuesday.

Some of this is Open grade so women can play if they are men's standard.

EMTC is holding another Wine Drive - with funds going to the Club for our much needed lighting upgrade, amongst other things..

Our cut-off date will be Friday 12 February 2016 with delivery late February.

If we get enough orders prior to Friday 11th December 2015 there will be a pre Christmas delivery.

A quick update on Court Availability between now and 1st Feb 2016:

Mon-Fri daytime availality is very good at the moment.

Night Competition has finished for the season. Book a court with Robin or Helen on 9885 0270 (lights $12 per court per hour). 

Junior Sat/Sun morning Competition and Senior Saturday afternoon Competiion last weekend 12 & 13 December 2015.

Futures tennis lessons - most group lessons will be finished this week (weather permitting).  There are still a number of private lessons but some courts should be available after school hours.

The Swimming Pool upgrade is complete and now open for members to use.

Solar Heating is being installed today, so you will be able to swim in the pool for 6-8 months of the year rather than 2-3 months.
