Whales are on the move again!
Huge numbers of humpback whales are about to being their annual migration from the warmer northern waters to their rich summer feeding areas of the Southern Ocean.

After spending time in the warmer ocean areas past Australia, humpback whales begin their annual journey south to feed off krill around Antarctica. They'll be moving slowly and often have young ones with them.
If you've never been whale watching, we've got one simple bit of advice - just do it!
You don't need binoculars or spotting scopes to enjoy a close-up encounter with these magical creatures, but they will help you capture unforgettable memories.

Benro Polaris Day @ BINTEL - 27th Aug 2022
Head along to BINTEL's Sydney showroom on Sat 27th Aug from 10am-3pm to see in-store demonstrations of the new Benro Polaris mount. We feel this is now the premium computerised DSLR and small telescope tracking mount for Milky Way and panorama photographers.
We'll be running demonstrations all day and you'll have a chance to talk with the visiting Benro guru who'll be able to answer all your questions.
There will also be a limited number of Beno Polaris mounts available to purchase on the day.

Plus a follow up night sky session - 27th Aug 2022
We'll be heading up to the observing field of the NSAS (Northern Sydney Astronomical Society) at Belrose on the evening of the 27 August from about 5.30 until 9.00pm to explore how the Benro Polaris performs under a dark sky. It will be a chance to bring along your own DSLR camera and grab some panoramas of the Milky Way. If the weather is clear, the new Moon should make it ideal an spot for some stargazing.

More Meade Binoculars - MasterClass arriving soon
We had quite a few folks grab a pair of the Meade CanyonView binoculars that were in the last newsletter and their feedback has lined up with our experience - good views and decent value for money. We'll have more of the Meade CanyonView binocs arriving this coming week along with their even more powerful cousins, the Meade MasterClass Pro range.
These are highly recommended by BINTEL for bird watching, nature and sports viewing.
One of the key differences in the MasterClass range are built-in field flatteners. This is a feature normally only found in much higher end optics. This means the views are extra sharp right to the edge of the field of view. The Meade MasterClass range are toughened and waterproofed making them ideal for hiking or camping.
There's also a larger model, the Meade 10x56 MasterClass, which would be a great bino for whale watching or even star gazing.

The first two large batches of these popular mounts were all sold prior to them arriving, but we now have them available.
