King of Flavour’s Dish to Savour
The Strathfield Food and Jazz Festival will feature Sashi Cheliah showcasing his flavourful cooking demonstrations with some appetizing recipes! In conjunction with Sydney Good Food Month, celebrate the diverse range of international gourmet food this October.
Applications for food, drink, and dessert stallholders/trucks are open online and close TOMORROW, 28 September.

Are You Burning Your Calories?
As part of NSW Bike Week, residents are riding their bikes to work and school! Are you? We’re proud to introduce a regular cyclist in our midst – Sam Shaw from Strathfield Council.
Sam is an outdoor adventurer who hiked the length of Britain from John O’Groats to Land’s End, which is over 2,000 kms! Sam cycles whenever possible and that gets him to exercise, reduce his carbon footprint, and save some money.
So, if you’re thinking about cycling, research a safe route and give it a try!
Quarterly Cardboard Clean Up
Free up some of your storage space by bringing all of your large size cardboard boxes and soft plastic wraps to Council’s Quarterly Cardboard Clean Up!

Double Trouble
Keep in mind that double demerits will apply this long weekend Friday 28 September to Monday 1 October for anyone caught breaking road rules! These include but are not limited to speeding, using a mobile phone illegally, or not wearing a seatbelt or motorcycle helmet.

Gnomeo and Juliet are on a mission to save their gnome friends – come and be part of the adventure at Strathfield Movies in the Park this weekend! Pack a snack, bring a blanket or two and enjoy an evening of outdoor cinema under the stars.

Have you visited David’s Fresh or Gina’s café lately? It was once a driveway service and auto repair station before being converted into a café and fruit shop. In the 1950s, the service station was operated by Don Trotter and was advertised as the “Trotter-In”.
