Monogram Health, a Nashville, Tenn.-based benefit management and care delivery provider for individuals with chronic kidney and end-stage renal disease, closed a $160 million Series B round. TPG Capital led the investment, which included participation from Frist Cressey Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and Humana Inc. Todd Sisitsky, co-managing partner of TPG Capital, joined Monogram Health’s board.
LetsGetChecked, a virtual-care startup based in Dublin and New York, completed a $150 million Series D round, giving the company a valuation of more than $1 billion. Casdin Capital led the new funding, which included support from CommonFund Capital, Illumina Ventures, Optum Ventures, Transformation Capital, HLM Venture Partners, Qiming Venture Partners USA and Symphony Ventures.
Kojin Therapeutics Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based startup developing new targeted therapeutics based on cell state and ferroptosis biology, raised $60 million in Series A financing. Investors including Polaris Partners and Newpath Partners led the round, which saw participation from Leaps by Bayer, Abbvie Inc., Eventide Asset Management, Binney Street Capital and others.
Strateos Inc., a Menlo Park, Calif.-based developer of remote access laboratories and lab control software for life science research, landed a $56.1 million Series B investment. DCVC and Lux Capital led the round, with participation from Eli Lilly & Co., Ally Bridge Group, Black Diamond Ventures and Castor Ventures.
ViaCyte Inc., a San Diego-based developer of therapies for patients with Type 1 diabetes, added $45 million in Series D funding, bringing the round total to more than $115 million. New investors Adage Capital Partners, Invus Group, Asymmetry Ventures and Artis Ventures were joined by existing backers Bain Capital Life Sciences, TPG Capital, RA Capital Management and Sanderling Ventures in the new funding.
Alcyone Therapeutics Inc., a Lowell, Mass.-based startup developing precision central nervous system therapies, launched with a $23 million investment from funds affiliated with RTW Investments. Piratip Pratumsuwan, managing director at RTW, will join the board.
Hawthorne Effect, a Lafayette, Calif.-based decentralized clinical trial startup, landed $20 million in Series A funding. Northpond Ventures led the round, which included participation from SignalFire and P5 Health Ventures.
TailorMed Medical Ltd., a New York- and Tel Aviv-based patient financial navigation technology provider, picked up a $20 million investment led by Providence Ventures. New investors UnityPoint Health Ventures, Almeda Ventures, Bridges Israel and Discount Capital also participated in the round, along with previous backers Accelmed, Sanara Ventures and Triventures.
Mendel, a San Jose, Calif.-based clinical data analytics provider, raised $18 million in Series A funding. Lead investor DCM was joined by Olive Tree Capital, Zola Global Investors, Millennium Technology Value Partners, Launch Capital, SOSV and Bootstrap Labs. Nichola Eliovits, managing partner at Olive Tree, will join the board.
Rise Science, provider of a sleep and energy management app, grabbed $15.5 million in seed and Series A funding. Goodwater Capital led the $10 million Series A round, with Freestyle Capital, High Alpha and True Ventures contributing the $5.5 million seed investment.
ViAqua Therapeutics, an Israeli aquaculture disease prevention startup, closed a $4.3 million funding round from investors including S2G Ventures and Visvires New Protein.
Thrivable, a real-time market research platform for the healthcare industry, fetched $1.7 million in funding from Allos Ventures, JumpStart, North Coast Ventures and Early Light Ventures.
