Click here ACMT CONNECTION E-News: January 2018 ACMT Quality Measures Approved by CMS The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced that they have approved six quality measures developed by ACMT. These are the first-ever medical toxicology quality measures approved by CMS, and are now among hundreds of measures that physicians can report to CMS. CMS also certified ACMT’s Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC) Registry as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). ACMT Conference Announcements 2018 Board Review Course and ACMT’s Total Tox Course In addition to ACMT’s Board Review Course in September, we have added a new 3-day ‘Total Tox Course’ for emergency providers at the same venue. ACMT's Most Active Tweetchat Our most active Tweetchat to date took place on Jan. 30. 112 participants posted 280 comments and questions on the topic of ACMT’s recent position statement 'The Role of Clinical Pharmacists in the Emergency Department.' In Memoriam ACMT member Louis R. Cantilena Jr., MD, PhD, FACMT, of Potomac, MD, was killed in a small plane crash in December. Cantilena was a professor of medicine and pharmacology at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda and saw patients at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
