New Adjustment Levy Advice form

Following feedback from employer groups, we’ve introduced an Adjustment Levy Advice form which aims to help your team submit any adjustments quickly.

It has similar functionality to the standard Levy Advice form with some variations to data entry requirements. Key points for using the form:

  • To ensure correct details are submitted, the form requires completion of the original details that were submitted on the standard monthly levy, as well as the correct/changed details so it’s clear what the difference is and why the adjustment is being submitted.
  • A reason for each adjustment must be provided.
  • The form calculates over/under payments. Any positive amounts will need to be paid, while negative amounts will be automatically refunded.

We recognise that some employers may need time to transition to this change so we’ll continue to accept adjustment levies by the current method up until the end of August. After this time, adjustments submitted using the old method will be returned for resubmission on the new form.

Are your authorised contacts up to date?

It's important that employers ensure their authorised contacts are up-to-date in Coal LSL records. 

We are only able to accept leave applications from, and discuss client matters with, authorised contacts in your business as currently held in our records.

Remember: your time is their time so save your business and employees time by notifying us as soon as changes to your business contact details and/or authorised contacts occur.

Forms are available on our website under Employer Forms/Update Details. Use the Update Company Details or Update Contact Details form as relevant.

Levy advice form - making life easier

Employers are legally required to use the Coal LSL Board-approved Levy Advice form when reporting monthly levies. 

The official form makes processing easier and faster. It contains macros which do the calculations for you. When the form is recreated by some other means before entering data, this removes the important macros and may result in calculation errors and related issues.

Advices submitted in any format other than the approved form are returned for resubmission.

We provide a handy guide, How to complete a Levy Advice form, for assistance and we’re only at the end of an email or phone call whenever you need support.

Diary dates

Important dates for your diary:

  • Levy advice and payment for June are due on or before 28 July. 
    The form and helpful guide are available on our website under Employer Forms/Levy Advice Form.
     
  • Annual audit report for 2018–19 is due within six months of the end of the financial year. 
    Support materials are available on our website under Guidance Note on Audit Report Requirements.
