Dear Eagles,

As you know, the Boston Marathon is taking place today, and as a marathoner myself, I encourage you to cheer on the runners at Mile 21 and join in on the activities planned for you by CAB. Please make good decisions in regard to your social activities and be safe as you enjoy this exciting day, following BC policy guidelines, and those of Newton and Boston public safety.

We have noticed an uptick in noncompliance related to required asymptomatic surveillance testing in the last few weeks. I know the pandemic and COVID-19 guidelines wear on everyone, but you must continue to follow campus safety protocols, including required testing.  If we work together, I know we can maintain a healthy and safe campus community and ensure we can continue to have a robust, in-person student experience.

This week begins with Indigenous Peoples' Day, which acknowledges and commemorates Native Americans as the first inhabitants of this land and celebrates their histories, diversity, and resilience. Additionally, it's the beginning of Pride Week that celebrates our LGBTQ+ community. Join Student Outreach and Support and co-sponsors for a kick-off event tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Dr. Shawna Cooper-Gibson
