No Images? Click here News in a TICJune 2018 Dear ,In my opinionAt the Rubicon Group meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia recently, I was elected as President of the group. It is a great honour to lead a group of people who are committed to promoting vitalistic chiropractic worldwide. The Rubicon Group, of which the New Zealand College of Chiropractic is a founding member, is a consortium of chiropractic education institutions that was formed to support universal access to chiropractic care for the improved performance and enrichment of life potential, greater health and wellbeing. I am firmly of the opinion that what chiropractic needs now more than ever is an organisation like this one who essentially are committed to the same cause - the correction of vertebral subluxation in order to allow for a greater expression of self. More of working together to create some collective momentum rather than spending so much energy and time arguing over minutia and semantics. Tolerance for each other's differences but with a very clear common goal and unwavering commitment to that. I think that this group has the potential to harness some of that collective momentum and really make a difference in terms of worldwide utilisation of chiropractic care and I feel very privileged to be part of it. Fantastic Response to Open DayOur recent Open Day was the most well attended that the College has hosted and demonstrated the ever-increasing interest from people considering a career in chiropractic. It was a great opportunity to meet so many new faces and certainly bodes well for the future of the profession. NZCA ConferenceThe College was well represented at the recent New Zealand Chiropractors' Association (NZCA) Annual Conference. College lecturers, researchers and Alumni - Dr Tanja Glucina, Dr Alice Cade and Dr John Bassano - presented on topics including sensory processing and eye movements, quality of life and clinical imaging.
