Principal's Message We were very fortunate to have Kirra Pendergast from Safe on Social present to the students from Year 7 through to Year 10 today. Kirra spoke about the most popular social media apps being used by our youth– what they are, how they work, security and privacy tips for safe usage. She covered popular apps such as Instagram, YouTube, Musical.ly, Snapchat, Facebook, Tumblr, and Fortnite. The P&C Association has been working with our Local Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams in relation to the mounting concerns of our parents and citizens and the wider school community regarding the deteriorating condition of our Campus. As a result of Mrs William’s hard work and persistence in dealing with the Minister of Education and the Department of Education, we find ourselves in a position where we have been offered an information session to ask questions and understand the process regarding the remodelling infrastructure projects at both the Port Macquarie Campus and Westport Campus to make them fit for educational purpose. INVITATION An invitation is extended to attend an information session on the infrastructure and remodelling of Port Macquarie Campus and Westport Campus. The main speaker of the evening is a Senior Project Manager for the Department of Education, Mr Noble Haddad. Mr Haddad will be the Project Manager for the redesign to our Campus and should be the perfect person to answer the many questions raised, such as, how much money will be invested?, can we see the plans?, start date?, finish date, what the renovations/remodelling will look like? and when we will get a solid commitment on time and money from the Department of Education? The information session will be held at Port Macquarie Campus at 6:30pm, Tuesday 18 February 2020. The invitation is extended to anyone who is concerned about the condition of our Campus and the future teaching/ learning conditions for our students and teachers. Spread the word and see you there.
