BARGAINING PREPARATION HAS COMMENCED
NEGOTIATING TEAMS
In anticipation of our three Collective Agreements expiring on December 31, 2018, NBNU is preparing for the next round of bargaining.
A key component of bargaining preparation, are the nominations for each negotiating committee. In addition to the Unit Representative, four members are to be elected per bargaining unit.
We are pleased to announce that the following four (4) candidates were elected by acclamation for the Nurse Managers & Supervisors negotiating team:
- Lorri Amos
- Violet Budd
- Sonia L. Barriault
- Charlene O'Donnell Congratulations to the new negotiating committee.
Elections for Part III and Nursing Homes will take place in the locals between February 12-20, 2018.
To review the list of candidates for your particular bargaining unit and for the latest bargaining updates going forward, please login to the NBNU website (www.nbnu.ca), click on the "Negotiations” tab in the left hand menu and chose your appropriate bargaining unit.
PRE-BARGAINING SURVEYS
Pre-bargaining surveys will be mailed to every member as well as sent electronically to those members that we have an email address for on file. The submission deadline is March 2, 2018.
Your bargaining team relies on this data to assist in setting its mandate. These surveys are your opportunity to tell us what you think is important and to provide NBNU with key information about your working conditions and health care delivery across the province.
As noted above, you will have two options to participate. You can complete the survey electronically (members will be emailed the link and you will also be able to access under the "Negotiations" tab on the nbnu.ca website) OR you can mail your hard copy survey back to Provincial Office. All information collected will be confidential and anonymous.
