2017 Safe City Logan community survey results

Safe City Logan Symposium coming soon

Council would like to sincerely thank everyone who took part in the 2017 Safe City Logan community survey. Overall, results from the 2017 survey were positive, with a significant increase in the percentage of residents that feel safe living in the City of Logan (58.8% compared to 45.5% in 2016). The Key Findings Report based on the results of the survey, can be viewed on Council's website. Please use the link below for futher information and to view the report.  

Over the past 10 years, crime in Logan has continued to trend downwards but perceptions towards increasing crime rates in the city remain high. Council is encouraging community members to empower themselves with the real story and to learn more about Council’s commitment to creating a safer city by viewing the first two Safe City Logan videos on Council’s website. Please use the link below to view the videos.

City of Logan: Ladies Night Out event

2018 Community Safety and Crime Prevention Activities

Council's new safety camera vehicle has arrived

If you have been craving a night out with your girlfriends, here’s your opportunity! The City of Logan: Ladies Night Out event will take place at the Logan Hyperdome Shopping Centre (outside Big W) on Thursday, 8 March 2018 from 4-8pm. This is a FREE event as part of Queensland Women’s Week 2018 and International Women’s Day celebrations. Please use the link below for further information.

In 2018, Counci is taking a new approach to the delivery of community safety and crime prevention community-based activities and events across the City of Logan. This approach will see a minimum of six targeted activities delivered in each Council division, spread throughout the year. A calendar of activities planned from February to April 2018 can be viewed using the link below and we would love to see you at an event soon!

The Logan Safety Camera Program has taken delivery of a new mobile safety camera vehicle, made possible through the Federal Government's Safer Communities Fund. The new vehicle will assist with monitoring public spaces and hard to reach areas that are not already monitored through permanent safety cameras. The vehicle can be deployed immediately to monitor emerging community safety issues and provides Council and the Police with a real-time crime fighting tool.
