Happy End of January!I hope everyone had a great end of 2018; it’s hard to believe that we already are a month into 2019! Wishing you all a fantastic year ahead! My family and I spent the end of 2018 on a wonderful vacation to Hawaii. This was my last photo taken of 2018 --- the view from our New Year’s Eve dinner. I fell asleep pretty soon after, still stuck on East Coast time… but on the plus side, I was up bright and early for the start of 2019!
2018 was a big writing --- and revising --- year for me, and I’m so excited to share two new books with everyone this coming year.
COME FIND ME is On Sale TodayFirst up is my new young adult suspense novel, COME FIND ME, in stores today! It’s about two teens searching for answers who each stumble upon a mysterious frequency, leading them to wonder if their family tragedies are somehow connected. This is an idea that has lived in my head for several years, and I’m so excited to see it out in the world. I’ve also been thrilled with the early reviews it’s been receiving: "Miranda (ALL THE MISSING GIRLS, 2016) has created a compelling
pair of protagonists, filled with heartfelt angst and relentless tenacity. Her latest book for young adults ages the kids from 'Stranger Things' and puts them in Gillian Flynn’s DARK PLACES for a smart, dark, and ultimately hopeful story of the power of belief." —Booklist, starred review
Miranda's exploration of how grief transforms us is realistic and sensitively drawn.... Eerie and emotionally resonant." —Kirkus
"This sensitive and nuanced depiction of grief in all of its forms will surely engross fans of crime stories and family dramas alike." —School Library Journal
From the New York Times bestselling author of ALL THE MISSING GIRLS and THE PERFECT STRANGER comes a captivating thriller about two teens who connect when each discovers a mysterious radio frequency, which suggests their family tragedies are mysteriously connected. After surviving an infamous family tragedy, 16-year-old Kennedy Jones has made it her mission to keep her brother’s search through the cosmos alive. But then something disturbs the frequency on his radio telescope --- a pattern registering where no signal should transmit. In a neighboring county, 17-year-old Nolan Chandler is determined to find out what really happened to his brother, who disappeared the day after Nolan had an
eerie premonition. There hasn’t been a single lead for two years, until Nolan picks up an odd signal --- a pattern coming from his brother’s bedroom. Drawn together by these strange signals --- and their family tragedies --- Kennedy and Nolan search for the origin of the mysterious frequency. But the more they uncover, the more they believe that everything’s connected --- even their pasts --- as it appears the signal is meant for them alone, sharing a message that only they can understand. Is something coming for them? Or is the frequency warning them about something that’s already here?
FRAGMENTS OF THE LOST also has a cool new paperback cover to match!

THE LAST HOUSE GUEST
Coming June 18thIn other writing news, I’ve been putting the finishing touches on my next adult suspense novel, which will be in stores on June 18th. I love the cover so much and hope that you do too! THE LAST HOUSE GUEST is set in a small vacation town on the coast of Maine, and the cover captures the feel of the book perfectly. More details on a tour and more coming soon…
From the acclaimed New York Times bestselling author of ALL THE MISSING GIRLS, a suspenseful new novel about an idyllic town in Maine dealing with the suspicious death of one of their own --- and her best “summer” friend, who is trying to uncover the truth…before fingers point her way. Littleport, Maine, has always felt like two separate towns: an ideal vacation enclave for the wealthy, whose summer homes line the coastline; and a simple harbor community for the year-round residents whose livelihoods rely on service to the visitors. Typically, fierce friendships never develop between a local and a summer girl --- but that’s just what happens with visitor Sadie Loman and Littleport
resident Avery Greer. Each summer for almost a decade, the girls are inseparable --- until Sadie is found dead. While the police rule the death a suicide, Avery can’t help but feel there are those in the community, including a local detective and Sadie’s brother, Parker, who blame her. Someone knows more than they’re saying, and Avery is intent on clearing her name, before the facts get twisted against her. Another thrilling novel from the bestselling author of ALL THE MISSING GIRLS and THE PERFECT STRANGER, Megan Miranda’s THE LAST HOUSE GUEST is a smart, twisty read with a strong female protagonist determined to make her own way in the world.
Books go through a lot of stages once they are written. One is page proofs, where I get a last chance to be sure that the book is formatted correctly --- and that all changes have been made. See the page proofs below.
New WebsiteI now have a new website up and running at MeganMiranda.com! Book RecommendationsI’ve been reading so many great books coming out later this year, and I can’t wait to share more about them closer to publication. Here are two of my favorite recent reads that are available now…or very soon! -DEAD AIR by Gwenda Bond, Rachel Caine and Carrie Ryan: Three of my favorite writers, one unique and addicting thriller. Fast-paced, captivating and completely surprising, this is a really cool project that was originally released in serial form with tie-in podcasts. Now, the complete season is available in one book! -THE WINTER
SISTER by Megan Collins: A haunting debut that explores the complex bonds between families, and the secrets that both tie people together and break them apart. Suspenseful, atmospheric and completely riveting. This one comes out next week, on February 5th!
Happy Reading, and to those of you who live in cities where I am on the road, I hope to see you! Best,
Megan
