End of Term2

With the cold weather we've had over the last couple of weeks it's nice to know that we're going into our winter break. Let's hope the we get some nice fine weather rather than true wintry weather over the next two weeks.

We hope you all enjoy the break and if you're travelling that you travel safely. We look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready for another busy term.

Schoolzine Newsletters

We are pleased and excited to inform you that we’ll be producing a new eNewsletter with Schoolzine. The move to this new format will enable us to communicate with the school community across multiple channels. It will promote and enhance our engagement with parents, students and the wider community.

We believe you’ll find the eNewsletter highly engaging, as it will provide us with a more efficient and effective means of connecting with you. The new format will allow the inclusion of video, photo galleries, online bookings, mobile app, feedback forms, calendars and so much more.

The newsletter also has a sponsorship section which provides a great opportunity for local businesses to engage with our parent community. If you would like to be a part of this, please contact Schoolzine.

Papakura Bus - Bridgeview Stop

We have been informed that Bridgeview Road will be closed for roadworks around the time school starts back for Term 3.

We have contacted the bus company and while the road is closed the buses will divert via Kuhanui Rd instead of Bridgeview and can utilise the bus stop(s) circled in the picture below. This will start on Monday 22 July.

Matariki

The Matariki Community Event for Maori New Year was celebrated with a variety of activities in and around the school last Saturday. A big thank you to the Whatapaka Marae for all their work organising the day especially Mahu and Sandy Rawiri and family. Below are some pictures of the day.

SKIDS

Please be advised that from Term 3; Monday 22 July SKIDS will not be operating in the mornings.

40 Hour Famine

Well done to the 8 students that participated in the 40 hour famine at the beginning of June. Between them they raised close to $750.

It is amazing to see how our students are becoming such global citizens with huge caring hearts.

Hillary

The students have been completing tessalations in Hillary using shapes and ice-block sticks.

The Te Hihi Ag Day team are busy getting everything organised for this year’s event.  Ag Day Entry forms will be sent home on the first day back of Term 3 so please think over the holiday about whether you want to raise an animal.

There will be lots of great stalls and entertainment this year - one of the stalls we are planning for is to sell second hand books and puzzles – so if you are looking at having a sort out of your books and puzzles then please hold onto them for Ag Day!

Any questions please contact Ana Smith (021 402 620) or Gina Beck (021 929 452)
