Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board - 25 March 2020 Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board - 25 March 2020
Good afternoon everyone, These uncertain times continue to provide us all with challenges and in reality, very little has changed from last week. Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board (MHARMB) is mostly working remotely and utilising technology to keep connected with each other, our partners and stakeholders. Those of us that remain working at Mt Hotham are doing all the right things to keep our distance and reduce the risk of passing on the coronavirus (COVID-19). The MHARMB has been tasked with scenario planning to scope how a delayed season might operate or, worst case, if we are directed to not open at all. There are many elements to consider and this is taking a considerable amount of time, checking that all things have been taken into account and thinking creatively to keep our mountain sustainable. This includes considering the impact that any of these scenarios will also have on our stakeholders and their profitability. MHARMB is working closely with the other Alpine Resorts and our lead agency DELWP to clarify the economic stimulus packages provisions and how they may be applied to Mt Hotham and our stakeholders. This is a key priority for us, and we will provide you updates on this matter when we hear anything further. We will continue to share information as it comes to hand. Regards, |
