Sats are for the schools, not for pupils Focus on stress prevention at Prospect health and safety conference School improvement initiative creates new job roles The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) recently announced the launch of a regional programme which they say will see hundreds of the most disadvantaged schools in the country receive direct support for school improvement. A key element of this programme is the creation of new “Regional Leads” roles. The EEF has said that these regional leads will work with the schools in their region who are most in need of support to improve attainment. They’ll help these schools to use evidence-based resources and training to address the specific challenges they face in and support their school improvement activity. Following the announcement, Steve Thomas has written to the EEF seeking further detail of the programme, including:
