Seniors Festival

Seniors Festival

Run away to beautiful Berry for Australia’s best pies; visit Nutcote, May Gibbs' harbourside property and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Manly Corso; or wander around the beautiful Merrylands Botanic Gardens and try your hand at Qi Gong – there’s something for every Strathfield Senior at the Seniors Festival on 4 - 15 April 2018!

Majority of events are free of charge; however registrations are essential.

Harmony Day

Strathfield’s Harmony Day celebration on Saturday was a mixture of stunning cultural outfits, performances and food. With the opportunity to throw a boomerang, make an origami necklace or wear a python around your neck, there was something for everyone to enjoy! See the pics here!

Food Safety Seminars

Council’s Environmental Health Officers regularly host Food Safety workshops for local businesses. Lean the dos and don’ts of safe food practice with helpful translated materials in different languages and ask the experts for advice. The next workshop will be on 17 May.

Above is a photograph of Strathfield Railway Station - can you spot the difference? The train station was redeveloped in the 1920s to not only increase the number of platforms from 4 to 6, but to also replace the overhead walkways with underground ramps.
