Accreditation UK joins QALEN

Accreditation UK is a joint venture between the British Council and English UK, delivering Quality Assurance and Accreditation services to English language teaching schools throughout the United Kingdom.   With Accreditation UK becoming as the newest signatory to the Quality Assurance in Language Education Network (QALEN) Memorandum of Understanding, QALEN now represents many of the world's leading providers in language teaching.

CEO of NEAS (and QALEN founding member) Mark Raven stated that "Over 1,000 ELT centres are represented through the membership of the QALEN network, which includes providers based in the United States, Australia, Malta, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia."

The membership of QALEN includes NEAS, FELTOM, ACCET, ABLS, English New Zealand and Accreditation UK.

NEAS supporting QLD Independent Schools supporting NEAS

A recent Roundtable meeting between NEAS and the Queensland Independent Schools has identified new ways for the two groups to work together for the benefit of high school students, teachers and the sector.

"While it remains a legislated compliance requirement for these schools to have their courses recognised by NEAS," stated NEAS CEO Mark Raven, "we continue to be committed to adding value to these high quality ELT centres whilst reducing unnecessary bureaucracy."

A key output of the Roundtable was agreement to form a working party, to establish a best practice framework for the protection and support of young learners (Under 18's) in ELICOS.
