A big thanks to our Bushcare team who planted over 300 plants at Cooke Park on Saturday 9 September! There were over 40 participants on the day and all plants were native species that can be purchased at the Nursery.

Strathfield Council’s community services team works tirelessly to develop and deliver a range of programs that support the community.

Some of these programs include: aged day care, twilight tours, carers week, HSC workshops, White Ribbon Day, technology tutoring, Children’s Week and school holiday programs.

Working as a part of this team has been very rewarding and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces at the end of the program is priceless.

Strathfield Shops 1962

When walking down the streets of Strathfield, it can sometimes be hard to visualise what once was. Below is a photograph of Strathfield shops on The Boulevarde in 1962. While the photo is not of great quality, many of the buildings are still recognisable. This photo predates the building of Strathfield Plaza, which was opened in 1981.
