Help us explore the future of aquatics in Des Moines... HELP BUILD OUR AQUATIC FUTUREStarting with Statistically Valid Surveys Coming in May...Help Us Build the Next 42 Years at Mount Rainier PoolMount Rainier Pool will celebrate its 42nd birthday this year. For so many of you, it was where you first learned to swim, spent time with your friends and built so many other memories. Help us best serve the next generation of users by participating in our Aquatic Feasibility Study. We have plenty of options on how you can participate (see below). Statistically Valid SurveyNext week, 3,000 Des Moines randomly selected households will receive a survey by mail. The survey will be 25 questions and take approximately 10 to complete. Even if you do not use the pool, it is important that you complete a survey. We want to discover how to best serve the entire community with our services that can include land-based activities (fitness, sports, etc.). Please keep an eye our for these emails in your mailbox. Public MeetingsThe best way to participate is by attending one of our Public Meetings, which will be held on June 14, July 26 and September 13. All meetings will be held at the Des Moines Yacht Club (22737 Marine View Dr. S.) from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Come help us build a vision of the future options for the Mount Rainier Pool including aquatic and recreation trends, revenue recovery and overall design. The workshops will explore everything from the existing center to a community recreation center. Our goal is to give the community an option that it can support. News Blog and Email BlastsKeep up-to-date by signing up for our email notification system and checking our website's news blog.
