Druva Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based cloud data protection and management provider, scored a $147 million investment, bringing the company’s valuation to more than $2 billion. Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec led the round, which included additional support from Neuberger Berman Group, Viking Global Investors and Atreides Management.
Tectonic Therapeutic, a Watertown, Mass.-based developer of antibodies and other biologic drugs, snagged $80 million in Series A financing from investors including Vida Ventures, Polaris Partners and EcoR1 Capital. In addition to the funding, Tectonic appointed Alise Reicin as president and chief executive. She was previously president of clinical development at Celgene Corp.
TetraScience Inc., a Boston-based data integration platform for life sciences research and development, completed an $80 million Series B round co-led by Insight Partners and Alkeon Capital Management. Deven Parekh, managing director at Insight Partners, joined the board.
HqO, a Boston-based tenant experience operating system for commercial office buildings, fetched $60 million in Series C financing. Previous backers including Accomplice, Insight Partners, JLL Spark, Navitas Capital, DivcoWest and Allegion Ventures were joined by PruVen Capital, Cushman & Wakefield and Suffolk Capital in the round.
Vyond, an animated video-creation company with offices in San Mateo, Calif., Hong Kong and Taiwan, raised $50 million in growth capital led by PeakSpan Capital.
Level, a New York-based provider of dental and vision insurance for employees, raised $27 million in Series A funding. Khosla Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, which included participation from Operator Collective, First Round Capital, Homebrew and others.
Hungry Planet Inc., a St. Louis plant-based meat startup, closed a $25 million Series A round. Post Holdings led the funding, with participation from Trirec.
soona, a Denver-based virtual content-creation platform for ecommerce, secured $10.2 million in Series A financing led by Union Square Ventures.
Affogata, a Tel Aviv-based customer intelligence platform, was seeded with a $5.5 million investment co-led by Mangrove Capital Partners and PICO Venture Partners.
Chain.io Inc., a Philadelphia-based supply-chain integration technology provider, picked up a $5 million investment. Grand Ventures and Mercury Fund led the round, which included contributions from Honeywell Ventures and Engage.
Creatively, a New York-based job platform for creative talent, landed a $5 million round from Link Ventures, AmplifyHer Ventures, Tornante Co. and Advancit Capital.
Mathison, a New York-based diversity hiring platform, nabbed $4.2 million in seed funding. Lead investor Bain Capital Ventures was joined by SemperVirens, Animo Ventures, Grand Central Tech, Gaingels and Springbank Collective in the round.
Paxafe Inc., a Milwaukee-based startup whose technology helps mitigate risks involved in business-to-business shipping, was seeded with a $2.3 million investment led by Ubiquity Ventures.
