Surf Lifesavers Finalists in Rotary Emergency Services Community AwardsFour volunteer surf lifesavers were among the 28 emergency service personnel announced as finalists in the Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards 2020 by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, David Elliott this week. Grants & Fundraising Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia. Surf Life Saving FoundationPlease note that due to the Coronavirus health emergency all face-to-face fundraising (door knocking appeals) have temporarily ceased. More information about the Surf Life Saving Foundation and the work they carry out can be found on our website. Be a Lifesaver and RecycleSurf Life Saving NSW has joined forces with Envirobank to offer schools from select locations the opportunity to participate in National Recycling Week and raise funds for vital lifesaving training and equipment. From Monday 9th November – Friday 13th November, staff, students and family members from schools who register to participate in the initiative, will be collecting refundable containers and donating the returns to Surf Life Saving NSW.
